These terms govern your use of person·af (the "Service"), operated from the United States. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use it.
Contact: legal@person.af.
1. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. By using the Service you represent that you are. We may use reasonable measures (including reports and human review) to enforce this, and we suspend accounts that appear to belong to minors.
2. Your account
- Accounts are anchored to a faceprint (see the Privacy Policy and Biometric Data Policy); one person, one account.
- You may not create an account for someone else, share your device token, or attempt to evade a suspension by any means.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the Community Guidelines, which are part of these terms.
3. Conduct
The point of the Service is a real conversation with a real person. You agree not to:
- Display nudity or sexual content, or engage in sexual conduct on camera;
- Harass, threaten, or express hatred toward anyone;
- Involve, depict, or endanger minors in any way — we report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC as required by law;
- Record your matches without their consent (your local laws on recording apply to you);
- Spam, advertise, impersonate, or use the Service for commercial solicitation;
- Probe, overload, reverse-engineer the identity system, or otherwise attack the Service;
- Use the Service where prohibited by your local law.
4. Moderation, suspensions, appeals
Reports are adjudicated by an automated system with human escalation. Suspensions are time-limited by default; serious violations may be permanent. You can appeal a suspension in the app; appeals are reviewed automatically and, where uncertain, by a human. We may preserve and disclose information where required by law (for example, mandatory child-safety reporting).
5. Your content
Video and audio flow peer-to-peer and are not stored by us. For the limited content that touches our systems (chat, captions, report evidence), you grant us the minimal license needed to operate the Service — relaying, translating, moderating — and nothing more. We claim no ownership of anything you say or share.
6. The Service is provided "as is"
We work hard on safety, but we cannot guarantee who you will meet or what they will say or show. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, and we disclaim liability for the conduct of users. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this may not apply to you.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed US $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
8. Changes & termination
We may update these terms (material changes will be posted with a new date, and continued use is acceptance) and may modify or discontinue the Service. You can stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your data per the Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE — to be set on attorney review], excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that state.
10. Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
